Coldplay’s new fourth album sold 300 thousand copies only after three days since it came out on June 12, says NME. It means that “Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends” is standing on top of the British music charts, and makes it up to the Platinum status in Britain.
Besides that, this album became the best selling in the band’s history. Their previous three albums sold 10 million copies each.
The album’s first single “Violent Hill” was available for free on a band’s website in the beginning of May. This track was downloaded by two million people worldwide.
