System’s guitarist Daron Malakian doesn’t want this band to be reunited again any soon. As he told Gigwise, he and the band’s drummer John Dolmaian are planning their return to the stage activities with the new act called Scars On Broadway repeating System’s Serge Tankian’s success in his solo project.
Following Malakian’s words, all the former members of the ‘System’ are so into their own solo careers right now that they absolutely don’t think about any kind of reunion. He has said that, “If someday it feels right for us to do then we’ll do it but as of right now I’m really focused on this and I want to take this to different levels and so does John. We don’t talk about System, we don’t talk about doing System. If it does happen I see it being very very far down the line.”
The band “System of a Down” was founded by Tankian and Malakian in Los Angeles back in 1995. All of the five albums that they’ve released went platinum. In May 2006 the band had announced that they’re planning on a long vacation, but then it didn’t mean any kind of collapse. Their last performance took place on August 2006 in Florida after which Serge Tankian said that he would like to persue his solo career. In 2007 Tankian had released his first solo album “Elect The Dead”.
